Warranty

Gemstone Lights® Warranty for Atlanta Homeowners

The Gemstone Lights warranty on a roofline system we install in Gwinnett, Forsyth or North Fulton covers the lights for their lifetime and system parts for 10 years. Here is what each product covers, how to register within 30 days, and what to do if something fails.

Coverage

Coverage by Product

Roofline track lights, the system most people picture when they think of permanent lighting, fall under the all-products warranty. Patio lights and landscape lights each have their own warranty, so check which rows match what is on your home.

Labor, every product: Gemstone Lights Atlanta covers the labor to replace warrantied parts for one year from the installation date. Gemstone Lights’ own warranty covers the parts, not the labor, so the labor warranty is ours as your dealer, not the manufacturer’s.

Lifetime coverage

What Lifetime Means for Your Lights

Lifetime is defined by the manufacturer’s accelerated light testing: the lights are designed to last up to 50,000 hours, about 20 years at seven hours a day. How long the lights are actually used does not affect the warranty.

So a house in Duluth that runs warm white from dusk until bedtime every night, then switches to red and green for December, is covered the same way as one that only lights up for the holidays. Heavy use is what the lights are built for.

Lifetime light coverage applies to track lights. Patio lights and landscape lights carry 5 years on the lights instead, and every product shares 10 years on system parts.

Shared terms

Terms Every Gemstone Lights Warranty Shares

Track, patio and landscape light warranties differ in what they cover and for how long. The rules below are the same in all of them.

Register Within 30 Days

Register the warranty within 30 days of the original installation date. The warranty is not valid otherwise.

Selling Your Home

The warranty can be transferred once, within the 10-year warranty period, to a new homeowner who contacts Gemstone Lights directly within 90 days of taking possession of the home. The new owner receives the remaining coverage up to a maximum of 2 years, provided at least 2 years remain; if less than 2 years remain, the new owner inherits the remaining balance.

Installation Labor

Gemstone Lights Atlanta covers the labor to replace warrantied parts for one year from the installation date. Gemstone Lights’ own warranty covers the parts, not the labor, so the labor warranty is ours as your dealer, not the manufacturer’s.

Repaired or Replaced Parts

Repaired or replaced products and parts are covered for the balance of the original warranty period or 30 days from the repair or replacement, whichever is longer, on the same terms.

Who Is Covered

Gemstone Lights USA Corp. warrants the products and parts it manufactures to the Authorized Dealer and the end user when they are sold for installation and use in the USA. Coverage is against defects in material.

What Gemstone Lights Will Do

Gemstone Lights’ sole obligation is to repair or replace products and parts as an authorized Gemstone Lights representative deems necessary during the warranty period. Gemstone Lights is not responsible for delays in repair or replacement.

Claims

How to Make a Warranty Claim

These steps come from the return process in every Gemstone Lights warranty. If Gemstone Lights Atlanta installed your system, we are your installer, so step one is a service request with a short description and a photo or two.

  1. Step 1: Start With Your Installer

Submit a warranty claim with your product installer.

  2. Step 2: Get an RMA Number First

If you are not satisfied with the installer’s resolution, contact Gemstone Lights at warranty@gemstonelights.com or (888) 908-2675 and get a return material authorization (RMA) number before shipping anything. The RMA number must be included in the shipping container; returns without one may be rejected and sent back freight collect.

  3. Step 3: Ship Only If Asked

If Gemstone Lights asks for the item, ship it freight prepaid with a written description of the claimed defect.

  4. Step 4: Keep the Part

If you are not asked to ship it, keep the product or part for at least 12 months after the claim in case Gemstone Lights needs it for verification or testing.

  5. Step 5: Pack It Properly

Pack returns in the original carton or equivalent. Damage in transit is the end user’s responsibility and may void the claim.
